Banderas Bay Blast is 3 days of sailing fun on the bay! Presented by PV Sailing in conjunction with Marina Riveria Nayarit (Marina La Cruz), Punta De Mita Yacht and Surf Club, Paradise Village Marina, Vallarta Yacht Club, and Lattitude 38 Magazine.
December 10th
DAY 1: Three-class start off La Cruz (If Pigs Could Fly, Plastic Fantasticks, Herding Cats, Those Guys Who Think They Are Fast). Weather Mark approximately 1.5 miles to weather, port rounding and head for mark off Nuevo Vallarta breakwater, port rounding and back to La Cruz. Past the start mark to starboard and finish. Start around 1pm. Listen to VHF channel 72 at 0900 for on-radio skippers meeting, or attend live skippers meeting at Poolside Deli at La Cruz Marina at 10:30.
Free slips for non-marina residents who normally stay in other marinas (please bring proof). Those who intend to spend the night at Marina La Cruz do need to register with the marina office.
DAY 1 Evening: There will be a Banderas Bay Meet N’ Greet gathering at the La Cruz Marina amphitheater hosted by Mike, of PV Sailing, Richard Spindler, (Baja HA HA / Lat 38 Magazine), and Marina Riviera Nayarit welcoming the Baja HA HA and those returning. Join us for the GAM style shout out presented by our sponsoring… Good trouble makers, to find out what is happening around the bay for 2023/24. This is a chance to catch up with old friends, be happy that we’re all back together, and to get ready for some amazing sailing on the bay
December 11th Breakfast gathering will happen hosted by the Marina Poolside Deli. Sailing Leg 2 to Punta De Mita Yacht and Surf Club for the Annual reopening of the clubhouse starting at 4:30. Followed by dinner, music, and initiation of new members with the carbon fiber paddle at El Corral Beach restaurant. There will be panga service.
December 12th Gather at El Corral Beach restaurant for brunch and the skippers meeting at 10:30 am. Sailing Leg 3 Pirates for Pupils Spinnaker Run for Charity to Nuevo Vallarta. Meet at the Vallarta Yacht Club following leg 3 for the party and results. There will be slips at Paradise Village Marina for those boats that participate.
PIRATES FOR PUPILS
All participating boats to be ready at Punta de Mita for a 1:00 pm start or as directed on the day. Slowest boats start first, the finish is off the Nuevo Vallarta breakwater. There will be an event final party that night at the Vallarta Yacht Club.
The best-dressed Pirates will have their 10 minutes of fame in Lattitude 38 magazine. The charge of 400 pesos for every rider will go 100% to supplies for the schools in Punta de Mita and Bucerias.
